SJ-HAA Soccer Frequently Asked Questions

- Who is eligible for SJ-HAA Soccer?
The SJ-HAA soccer program is a co-ed CYM program open to players of all skill levels. The program is open to both girls and boys in grades 3-8. Players in grades 3 through 6 will make up the junior varsity team and players in grades 6 through 8 will make up the varsity team.
- How do I register my player(s)?
All players need to register through the St. John-Holy Angels Athletics website, SJ-HAA.org, and CYM before taking part in the first practice. To register with SJ-HAA, click the REGISTER button at the top right-corner of the page. If you need further instruction on registering with Dick's HQ, please visit the REGISTRATION tab on the home page, and click on the REGISTRATION GUIDE for step-by-step instruction. In addition to registering with SJ-HAA, all junior varsity and varsity players must register with CYM through their website, CDOW CYM Delaware. Please print, sign, and bring your CYM Athlete Authorization Form in order to participate at the first practice.
- When will the season start?
Practice for the 2021 season starts in August 2021. Once registered with SJ-HAA, the program coordinator or coach(es) will contact the parent/guardian(s) at the registered email address to give further practice information.
- How often do the teams practice?
Junior varsity will practice at least twice a week, and varsity will practice at least twice a week. Days, times, and location will be communicated as soon as possible by the program coordinator or coach(es) to the registered email address.
- What equipment do I need to provide for my player for the season?
Players need the following for practices and/or games: - shin guards
- soccer cleats
- two pairs of game soccer socks: one pair of navy blue and one pair of white socks
