SJ-HAA Volleyball Frequently Asked Questions
Welcome to SJ-HAA Volleyball! Below is some information regarding our program. Please review the information contained in this document prior to the first practice mandatory Parents Meeting will be held during the first practice to review this information, and to answer any questions you may have regarding our program.

Who is eligible for SJ-HAA Volleyball? Our volleyball program is open to girls in Grades 4-8.
When will tryouts (skill assessment for team placement) take place? Tryouts will begin in August, dates and times will be posted on the SJ-HAA website, SJ-HAA Facebook Page, or via email.
What if my daughter misses tryouts? Your child will still be placed on a team, if they have played for SJ-HAA in a previous season we will try to get recommendations from last year's coach on team placement.
When will practices and games begin? Practices typically begin in August, and games start in early September.
How often does the team practice? Each team will practice twice a week for an hour and thirty minutes.
Where are practices held? Most teams will practice at Holy Angels Gymnasium, some practices might be at another location when needed. Times and days will be determined once teams are selected.
What should my child wear/bring to practice? Girls should wear shorts or spandex shorts and a t-shirt to practice, they must wear knee pads and sneakers. Mouth guards are recommended if they have braces. Your child should bring water.
When are games held, and how long to they last? Games are played either Saturday mornings or afternoon and Sunday afternoons. Games last about 1 hour.
